Start with the option already on the table
Imagine a client telling their travel adviser, ‘I’m going to Hong Kong FinTech Week. Could we add Shenzhen?’ It sounds like an itinerary request. It is really a question about what they want from the trip.
The organiser’s GBA Immersive Executive Tour runs 4–5 November 2026. The two-day programme includes company-hosted visits, networking and a return coach from Hong Kong. Accommodation is separate. If your client wants that group format and those dates, the official tour may fit. Check its current itinerary and terms before recommending it. Source ↗
Shape a private day around the client
A private day earns its place when the brief is different. Perhaps the client wants to understand how people use a product, explore contemporary design and neighbourhood life, or have space to discuss what they are seeing. A personally hosted Shenzhen visit can connect public-facing technology, food and culture to that interest. A company conversation is possible only after the proposed host approves it.
For the adviser, the handoff should be clear. What does the client hope to understand? Who is travelling, when, and what is already arranged? You can share an initial fit note without naming the client. Futurebound then assesses the programme with you, agrees who owns the client relationship and confirms responsibilities, scope and fee in writing before payment.
Do not sell an unconfirmed company visit to make the itinerary sound exclusive. Futurebound normally asks for three to four weeks to pursue one company request. With FinTech Week close, a well-shaped public-city day may be the more credible short-notice option.
The strongest itinerary is not the one with the most stops. It is the one your client can explain afterward.
A quick answer for advisers
Is there an official Shenzhen tour during Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026? Yes. The organiser lists a two-day GBA Immersive Executive Tour for 4–5 November. When should an adviser consider a separate private day? When a particular client’s interests, pace or available dates call for a different programme. Its scope, delivery and any company access must be confirmed individually.
